Aircraft satellite communications is essential when you want reliable voice and data communications but are outside the range of radio or cellular coverage. First-responders and the military need helicopter satellite communication systems that are small and light and offer crystal clear voice communications from any location – no matter how remote.
Aircraft cellular communication provides broadband data and the ability to access the internet from the air – as you would with your cell phone on the ground. Cell phones suffer from poor reception inside an airframe. An aircraft cellular communication solution includes a fixed purpose-built antenna installed on the underside of the aircraft.
Aircraft satellite and cellular tracking is the best of both worlds. Enjoy high frequency cost-effective tracking in range of cellular networks and automatically revert to Iridium’s satellite network when out of range. Switching between the two is seamless. In satellite mode the positions are transmitted every 1-2 minutes to keep cost down and our proprietary Truepath© technology backfills the route showing the exact flight path flown.
